Dr. Thornwell H. Parker, III, MD

Plastic Surgeon, Procedural Dermatologist, Mohs Surgeon

Dr. Parker is one of seven doctors in the world dual trained as a board-certified Plastic Surgeon and a Procedural Dermatologist/Mohs Surgeon. As a Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Parker has extensive training and experience in cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery. His Procedural Dermatology/Mohs Surgical training encompasses treatment of skin aging, precancerous damage and skin cancers. 

Dr. Parker received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was designated Outstanding Plastic Surgery Student. He returned home to Dallas for his residency training in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center, considered by many the #1 plastic surgery program in the country. He then completed a fellowship in Procedural Dermatology/Mohs Micrographic Surgery at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas under Dr. Willis Cottel, former president of the American College of Mohs Surgery.

Not only is Dr. Parker board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, he is also a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. He is the founder of Elevate Medical Spa and Skin Cancer Consultants, and director of the Dallas Surgi Center. Dr. Parker also serves as volunteer clinical faculty in the Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern. He aims to serve others by elevating skin health and beauty through prevention, intervention and rejuvenation—the three pillars of his practice. When Dr. Parker isn’t providing the best care possible for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, relaxing at the lake (sunscreen always at hand), being involved with his church and participating in medical missions.

Dr. Kevin Hanz

Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeon

The roads in Dr. Kevin Hanz’s life keep leading to Dallas.

The board certified plastic surgeon is a Northeastern Ohio native who attended Miami University in Oxford, OH. After earning dual degrees in zoology and chemistry, he pursued his medical education at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH, where he fostered an appreciation for the art of plastic surgery.

This passion took him to the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where he completed an integrated residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery.  The residency has consistently ranked as the number one training program in the country for plastic surgery.  It was here that he and Dr. Parker first met more than15 years ago, going on to work together for four years.

“My education in Dallas provided the opportunity to work with many of the world’s experts in all areas of plastic surgery.  Many pioneers in facial aesthetics, body contouring, breast and hand surgery work as both clinical and academic faculty in the department of plastic surgery. The training at UTSW is simply phenomenal.”

During his time in Dallas, Dr. Parker introduced Kevin to his accomplished nurse practitioner, Carla Foley. The two married and headed east to South Carolina where Dr. Hanz continued his professional career in Sumter. Performing approximately 1000 surgeries a year in all areas of plastic surgery, Dr. Hanz quickly became a leader in in aesthetic and cosmetic surgery. As founder of Derma Medical Aesthetics at Kiawah Island, SC, he also provided a wide variety of non-surgical services which focused on skin care, neuromodulators and fillers. 

Away from the practice, Dr. Hanz is an avid chef who loves to cook gourmet meals for friends and family. Favorite pastimes include tennis, golf, fishing and hunting. He and Carla have two beautiful daughters, Charlotte and Caroline.

Katie Pedicord, PPAS, PA-C

Skin Rejuvenation, Skin Surgery, Skin Cancer

As a board certified physician assistant, Katie has practiced 10 years in Dermatology, and previously in orthopedic spine surgery. She has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of skin cancers and skin conditions, skin surgery, and skin rejuvenation. Katie believes the secret to beautiful skin is healthy skin. She enjoys treating patients from both a medical standpoint and cosmetic perspective—implementing plans for patients to improve their current skin health and appearance and lay a foundation for maintenance and prevention for the future. For her cosmetic patients, she especially takes pride in providing guidance to help patients achieve their cosmetic goals while keeping a natural appearance. Katie believes that the best cosmetic correction gives a more rested and youthful appearance without looking “done.”

Katie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and her masters degree in physician assistant studies from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She received board certification as a physician assistant through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) in December 2004 and has maintained licensure by the Texas Medical Board since 2005. Katie is also a laser safety officer, trained by the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).

Katie has lived in the Dallas area since 2005, when she moved from Oklahoma, her native state. She is an avid marathon runner, pet lover and also enjoys reading and spending time outdoors—always practicing sun safety, of course.

Megan Nunley, FNP-C

Nurse Practitioner

Megan joined our practice almost 10 years ago as an experienced RN interested in dermatology, skin cancer and aesthetics.  Inspired while working alongside Dr. Thornwell Parker and Katie Pedicord, Megan decided to return to school and complete her training as a nurse practitioner.  We are excited she is back working together with Dr. Parker and Katie, as well as seeing patients independently.

Megan was board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners after completing her graduate studies at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is also licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing and a member of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners (NADNP) and the Dermatology Nurses’ Association (DNA).

Megan lives in the Frisco area with her husband and their two young sons. In her free time, Megan enjoys running, reading, traveling and spending time with friends.

Tori Smith, RN

Skin Rejuvenation

Tori enrolled in nursing school for the sole purpose of pursuing a career in skin rejuvenation. After working in the cosmetic industry for 12 years, her introduction to Botox was so life-changing that it prompted her to return to school to become a registered nurse. She then completed advanced training in Botox injections, dermal fillers and laser treatments.

A life-long Texan who loves skin and aesthetics, Tori says her biggest joy is helping patients feel good about themselves. Today, Tori assists Dr. Parker in providing Botox, dermal fillers, ablative laser treatments, micro laser peels, fractional laser, chemical peels and photo facials using the latest technology. She is extremely enthusiastic about her clients’ health and beauty, and her expertise provides them with natural looking results. Outside of the office, you will find Tori with her family, on the Katy Trail with her dog Missy, playing golf, practicing yoga or attending church. 

Marni Davidow

Licensed Aesthetician

With over 18 years of experience in the skin care industry, Marni excels in customizing professional skin care regimens and treatment plans based on skin type, existing skin damage and lifestyle goals. 

Marni brings a wealth of expertise of the industry’s most innovative skin care, chemical peels, microneedling, dermaplane and laser treatments. She specializes in treating skin conditions such as sun damage, acne, rosacea, pigment disorders, dry skin, fine lines, age spots and wrinkles—working wonders and helping hundreds of women and men love their skin. Marni makes the world a more beautiful place, one face at a time.

Suzanne Coverick

Licensed Aesthetician

Suzanne specializes in photofacials, microneedling, skin peels, European facials, face and body hair removal (laser and waxing), brow shaping, lash and brow tinting and makeup application for all ages. She truly loves to treat skin—and is even more passionate about teaching patients to care for their own.

An accomplished licensed aesthetician with over 30 years of experience in the skin care and cosmetics industry, Suzanne has witnessed tremendous advancements in the industry. She founded and operated a successful salon in Charlotte, North Carolina until she moved to Dallas with her husband. In her free time, Suzanne enjoys CrossFit.

Felicia Brenner

Licensed Aesthetician

Felicia brings over 16 years of skin care experience in a plastic surgery setting. As a licensed aesthetician, her broad technical knowledge helps clients make informed decisions about skin health and beauty. She’s passionate about analyzing skin care concerns and formulating game plans that enable clients to reach their full skin health potential. Felicia guides clients every step of the way—whether they’re battling acne, anti-aging, sun damage or desiring radiant skin for a special event. She has advanced training in ZO^®Skin Health, lasers, microdermabrasion, light treatments, dermaplaning and chemical peels. 

Felicia and her husband recently migrated to Texas after spending most of their lives in Maryland. In her spare time, Felicia is looking forward to meeting new friends, finding a great church and exploring the Dallas area.

Melanie Waligura

Front Office Coordinator

Melanie’s genuine care for clients’ well-being is evident in everything she does.   Her combined experience in professional counseling and appreciation for the aesthetics industry drives her to be an amazing advocate and educator for clients at Elevate.

Her education and work history is healthcare focused.  Melanie’s credentials include an MS degree in professional counseling from Carlow University in Pittsburgh. An adolescent mobile assessor for Pyramid Healthcare since 2014, Melanie worked with teens afflicted with substance use disorders and mental health issues, using screening tools to make recommendations for further counseling or treatment services when appropriate.

Melanie loves her work at Elevate and looks forward to giving clients clear guidance though the complex field of aesthetics.

Andi Hooker

Patient Coordinator

While great management skills make Andi a terrific addition to the Elevate team, we love the way she makes our clients feel. They get her commitment to detail, the small touches that make each Elevate visit an exceptional experience.

She’s accustomed to wearing many different hats. At Halo Home by KSW, Andi served as Operations Manager with responsibilities ranging from customer service to organizing trunk shows and managing social media accounts. At Elevate Andi also helps shape Elevate’s social media, special events, email marketing and customer service functions. 

Andi is a native of Dallas.  She completed her degree at Auburn University in Alabama.  We’re excited she decided to return to Texas!
